Samsung Circo

In the summer before my final year of college, I had the opportunity to work at the Media Solutions Centre at Samsung Asia, within the Gaming Team. During this time, the team was building Samsung Circo, a game retention platform with partners including Ubisoft & Halfbrick Studios (makers of Fruit Ninja). Using the Circo SDK, developers could enable unique quests that would pay out tickets. These tickets could be used by users to enter tournaments to win real-world prizes including Samsung TVs, phones and more!

In my role as Regional Product Planning Intern, one of my projects was to restructure our data analytics in app, working down from our KPI's to define our reporting workflow. Towards the end of my summer in Singapore, I was also given the opportunity to redesign portions of a full mobile social game published by Samsung Asia. Over the course of the summer, my other day-to-day tasks included working alongside the Operations team to perform daily tasks related to ongoing tournaments, assist in Customer Service and Troubleshooting, and to design, develop and integrate new mini-games with a 3rd party vendor.

My time with Samsung Asia is a time I remember very fondly - not just for the great product I got to work on with interesting and unique opportunties, but because of the amazing team and manager that I got to work with!

During my summer at Samsung, I helped to design & implement the Tutorial System.
